It's been a crazy last couple weeks here at AGS! So last week I completed work on the first implementation of the AGS Dialogue System. The system utilizes data files containing dialogue content that can be retrieved and dynamically displayed. Now, unfortunately I do not have a very good example of this as I have been very busy and I haven't had time to build a demo tape around it like I did with the SFX engine. However, for those of you who are interested in this you can check out a screenshot I took for demonstration purposes only. This new system allows game content creators the ability to set and retrieve dialogue and customize the way the dialogue appears using markdown. This system also allows for the ability to show dialogue face cards along with the dialogue as is seen in many other RPG's.
